ABOUT ME 

For some background about me, I was born in Maryland and have lived here all my life but I am originally Polish and speak the language. It is my first year at the University of Maryland so it has been strange transitioning to college during a pandemic, completely online. I hope that this pandemic ends soon so I can go have classes in-person and meet people on campus. I am not sure what I want to major in yet so right now I want to take different classes and explore my interests, although so far it has been difficult to see what I really enjoy since everything is online and seems disconnected from reality. I joined Media Scholars because it seems like an interesting course with relevant information to today’s world. Even if I do not choose a path that is related to Media, so far, the information I have been learning has been relevant to everyday life and to the world as a whole. We rely on the media to supply us with information about the world, but there are so many sources that sometimes it is hard to see what is real.
